Today is Jill's birthday!
To Jill, we wish a long life!
Not only was she born back then...
but she's been BORN-AGAIN!
Praise Yeshua (means Jesus) for LIFE!
Jill,
just wanted to be the first to wish you a Happy 39th Birthday! Now, are you gonna be like Grandma and tell everyone you are still 39, thirty years from now?
Love ya, sis!
I liked the photo you sent, but wondered whose boots those were... Have a great day! Give Noah a big kiss from his Auntie Gayle!
Hello,
I was Christmas shopping with my husband last week, and came across your " Advent Calendar Animal Christmas. " I looked over all the animals and items that were there at the birth of Jesus, even a manger I think. But who was at the end? Santa! I was horrified! Has Playmobil substituted Jesus with Santa? Now, I like Santa, but this is not the place for him.
I was glad to see you had a true nativity set with baby Jesus. Still, I think you should discontinue the other set, as it's confusing, and frankly, blasphemous.
Jesus is the reason for the season.
Thank you,
Jill *****
That's what I wrote to Playmobile today. I hope they get the point.

Dinner tonight was interesting. I made the " best fish ever. " ( That's what David called it. ) It was simply breaded haddock, with some spicy seasoning added to the breading. ( Not Noah's though. ) I also made seasoned roasted potato wedges, and salad. Two-thirds into the meal, we had our own Christmas Vacation moment.
It was the sound of Cookie yakking under the table. As soon as we all heard it, we froze, forks suspended inches above our plates. And then we heard the frothy end-of-puking noise. I chose to go into total denial, as I hadn't hit my potato wedges yet. ( Also, after raising this many kids, one gets jaded to bodily secretions - even dogs'. ) Josh had finshed eating, so guess who had to clean up? David couldn't finish eating, so he got his Bible out and read a chapter of Proverbs to us. ( He's doing this lately - it's nice. ) It was a strange scene.
Noah is in bed. Has been for 2 hours! He missed his nap yesterday, and slept 13 hours last night, even waking up dry. So, I tried the same today. We'll see how late he sleeps tomorrow. I must say, it's been real nice. I always put the other kids to bed by nine at this age, even if they napped, and they'd sleep like logs for 10- 12 hours. Not Noah. He's a night owl. If he's had a nap, even just from 1 - 3, he'll go and go til after midnight if you don't put him to bed. If I put him in before 10:45, he'd carry on, and trach his room. But now, I may actually get to enjoy my evenings in peace, after 8:30. All this time, we've had to make other arrangements even to watch a movie in the family room. We'd have Ben play with him for 30 minutes in his room, then put on a one hour movie for him, then put him to bed 30 minutes before our own movie was over. It's been frustrating. I hope this is the time of transition.

( This isn't Noah, but it cracked me up so I'm borrowing it from google. )
