Today is Jill's birthday!
To Jill, we wish a long life!
Not only was she born back then...
but she's been BORN-AGAIN!
Praise Yeshua (means Jesus) for LIFE!
Jill,
just wanted to be the first to wish you a Happy 39th Birthday! Now, are you gonna be like Grandma and tell everyone you are still 39, thirty years from now?
Love ya, sis!
I liked the photo you sent, but wondered whose boots those were... Have a great day! Give Noah a big kiss from his Auntie Gayle!
Today, I had to get a hose head, to help in watering my three little tomato plants. (I put them in the back yard this year, as opposed to last year's container-gardening on the balcony.) On the way to the local hardware store, Noah was curious what a hardware store was. After I explained that it was a store with lots of tools, he was disapprovaing: "But a mommy can't go to a hardware store!" I quickly dispelled that idea, explaining that sometimes mommies have to buy tools, and fix things. This satisfied him, and we enjoyed our brief trip there.
Rebekah's at the beach for her senior trip. I hope she's having fun. I'm the only female in the house now, except for possibly one or more of the fish, and who can tell which? I really don't mind. Menfolk are easy to get along with. As long as I feed them, all is well. They're doing their own things, and except for Noah's needs, I've enjoyed many quiet moments to read.
I'm reading Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. It's very good. I'd like to organize a book club around it, for there's much to discuss! Last night I had to look up both "typhus fever" and "consumption." I had to know exactly what some of the characters were dying of. I met a mom at a park tonight who was interested in my idea for a book club. We exchanged names and numbers, in hopes of getting it organized. Also, she has a four-year-old son, so our little boys can play whilst we chat. I hope it works out.
